What is custom e-learning development

It is a full-service offering in which we design and produce an online course exclusively for your organization, from analysis to publication. We do not use generic courses: the content, examples and design reflect your processes and your audience.

It is designed for companies, government agencies and educational institutions that need to train with their own content. It is ideal when the topic is specific, when you must demonstrate compliance or when you want an experience that carries your visual identity.

Unlike buying an off-the-shelf course, here every example, character and case study reflects your organization's reality. That makes it more relevant to learners and helps them apply what they learn on the job.

You can ask us for a single course or a complete multi-module program. In both cases we assign a project manager who coordinates with your subject matter experts and keeps the schedule on track.

Problems it solves

It solves the lack of time and in-house specialists to produce quality courses. Your team provides the knowledge; we turn it into a learning experience.

  • Presentations turned into boring courses: we redesign the content with activities and assessments.
  • Costly or hard-to-scale classroom training: the online course reaches every location.
  • Lack of evidence: the SCORM package records progress and scores in your LMS.
  • Several uncoordinated vendors: a single team is accountable for the whole project.

It also solves outdated content. With source files and a modular structure in place, updating a procedure or regulation does not mean rebuilding the entire course.

What is included: from idea to SCORM package

The service covers every stage needed for the course to work on your platform. Each one has a deliverable that you review and approve.

  1. Analysis: objectives, audience, context and assessment criteria.
  2. Instructional script: structure, copy, activities and assessments in a document you can validate.
  3. Design: visual style, templates and a screen prototype.
  4. Production: development with tools such as Articulate Storyline 360, Rise 360, Adobe Captivate, iSpring Suite or H5P, plus graphics, audio and video.
  5. Packaging: export to SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004 or xAPI.
  6. Implementation: testing in your LMS and final adjustments.

Final deliverables

You receive the package ready for your LMS, an online review version, the approved script and, as agreed, the editable source files. We can also add complementary pieces such as microlearning, infographics or interactive PDFs to reinforce the course.

Packages and interactivity levels

We offer three interactivity levels so the course has the depth your objective requires. All of them include instructional design, graphic design, assessment and a package ready for your platform.

Express

Mostly reading-based content, well structured and visually supported, plus assessments. It is ideal for regulations, internal policies and procedures that must be known and certified. It includes designed screens, simple interactions such as tabs or accordions, and a final quiz.

Standard

An interactive course with frequent activities, scenarios and feedback. It includes drag, sort or choose exercises, short case studies, formative assessments and a SCORM package with progress and score tracking.

Advanced

An immersive experience with video, gamification and simulations and branching. The learner's decisions change the path through the course. It is ideal for soft skills, customer service, safety or critical processes.

What determines the price

The price does not depend only on the level you choose. These factors also matter:

  • Course length and amount of content.
  • Level of interactivity.
  • Audiovisual component: animations, videos or recordings.
  • Professional voice-over.
  • Number of languages.
  • Number of review rounds.
  • Requested delivery timelines.

Learn more in our guide on how much an e-learning course costs (in Spanish).

If you are not sure which level to choose, think about what the learner must achieve. If they need to know and be certified on a regulation, Express is usually enough. If they need to apply a procedure, Standard is the better fit. If they must make decisions under pressure or practice difficult conversations, Advanced adds the most value.

How we build your course

We apply our six-step process, with your sign-off at key moments. That way we avoid major changes once the course is already produced.

  1. Analysis and objectives.
  2. Learning material development: script and structure.
  3. Instructional review and adaptation: adjustments with your subject matter experts.
  4. Design and audiovisual production.
  5. Final content digitization: development and packaging.
  6. Implementation and measurement: testing in your LMS and review of results.

An Express course usually moves faster than an Advanced one. The exact schedule is defined in the proposal.

Reviews are done on documents and prototypes that are easy to check, with centralized comments. We ask you for a single main point of contact to speed up decisions and avoid conflicting instructions.

Once finished, we review the first progress data and assessment results with you. That information guides improvements for the next version of the course.

Use cases

These are common scenarios where a custom course makes a difference.

  • A 30-minute Express course on the information security policy for all staff.
  • A Standard virtual employee onboarding course with activities on the company's culture and processes.
  • An Advanced customer service course with branching scenarios and video.
  • An occupational health and safety program that combines Express and Standard modules.

If you already have a classroom course, also see our course virtualization service.

In every case, the course can grow later: add modules, update content or translate it into another language without starting from scratch.

Why develop your course with Instruccionarte

Because we have spent more than 8 years designing and producing e-learning courses for companies, government agencies and educational institutions. Our team brings together instructional design, pedagogy, graphic design, audiovisual production and development.

We work with industry tools and choose the right one for your case, without forcing a single option on you. We also deliver a course that is compatible with your platform and tested before launch.

Tell us the topic, the approximate length and the level you are interested in. Message us on WhatsApp at 935 078 563 or use the contact form to receive your quote.

We pay attention to accessibility and the experience across devices. Courses are designed to read well on computers and mobile phones, with clear text, good contrast and subtitles whenever there is audio. That way they also reach field staff and rotating-shift workers.

And if you later want your team to maintain the courses on its own, we can complement the project with training in the tools used.

Frequently asked questions

Your questions about Custom E-Learning Development, answered

What do I need to have ready to start development?

Your source material, such as manuals, presentations or procedures, and a subject matter expert to validate the content are enough. During the analysis we help you organize the rest.

What is the difference between the Express, Standard and Advanced packages?

The difference is the level of interactivity. Express focuses on reading and assessment; Standard adds activities and scenarios; Advanced incorporates video, gamification, simulations and branching.

Can I combine levels in the same program?

Yes. It is common to use Express for compliance modules and Standard or Advanced for topics that require practice.

In what format do you deliver the course?

We deliver it in SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004 or xAPI, depending on your platform. We can also deliver complementary web or PDF versions.

Will the course work in our LMS?

We test the package on your platform before final delivery. If you do not have an LMS yet, we can help you with the implementation.

How many reviews does the project include?

The number of review rounds is set in the proposal. We recommend reviewing the script and prototype carefully, because that is where the important changes are defined.

Who owns the course when it is finished?

The terms of use and the delivery of source files are set out in the contract. We explain them clearly before we start.

Can you include voice-over and subtitles?

Yes. We can add professional voice-over and subtitles, which also improves the course's accessibility.

Do you develop courses in other languages?

Yes, we can produce versions in other languages. Each additional language affects the budget and the timeline.

How long does it take to develop a course?

It depends on length, interactivity level, the audiovisual component and how quickly reviews are completed. The schedule is agreed in the proposal.

Why don't you publish fixed prices?

Because each course varies in length, interactivity and resources. Prices are for reference and are confirmed with a quote based on your case.

How do I request a quote?

Message us on WhatsApp at 935 078 563 or email contacto@instruccionarte.com with the topic, audience and estimated length. We will reply with a detailed proposal.
