Benefits

Why choose Instruccionarte

Prevention in context

The course shows your facilities, equipment and hazards, not generic examples. That way workers recognize the risks of their own job.

Organized evidence

Every participant leaves a record of progress, time spent and score in the LMS. You can export reports whenever you need them.

No operational downtime

Staff train in short modules, on the shift that suits them. You avoid gathering everyone at the same time.

Reach every site

One training standard reaches offices, plants, warehouses and field staff.

Easy updates

When a procedure changes, only the affected module is updated, without rebuilding the whole course.

Assessments that measure

Questions based on on-the-job situations check whether people know how to act, not just whether they memorized.

What are online occupational health and safety courses?

Online occupational health and safety courses are e-learning training programs that teach people how to prevent workplace accidents and occupational illnesses. At Instruccionarte we custom-design them around your company's hazards, controls and procedures.

They are built for OHS managers, HR departments, safety committees and safety supervisors who need to train many people across several sites or shifts. They also work for contractors and new hires who need training before starting work.

The result is an interactive course published on your LMS, a learning management system that records who studied, how far they progressed and what score they obtained.

Problems online OHS training solves

Online OHS training solves the challenge of training all staff, periodically and with evidence, without stopping operations. Many companies face situations like these:

  • In-person talks repeated many times across shifts and sites.
  • Paper attendance sheets that are hard to organize and search.
  • Generic content that does not reflect the real risks of each job.
  • Field staff or staff in other regions who miss the sessions.
  • Little way to check whether workers understood the procedure.

Peruvian regulations, such as Ley N.° 29783 de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo (Law 29783, Peru's Occupational Health and Safety Law) and its regulations, require employers to train workers periodically. We recommend always reviewing the current regulations and your annual training program to define topics, frequency and format. Our job is to produce the course; verifying legal compliance is the responsibility of your OHS team.

Topics and deliverables included

Each OHS course includes content tailored to your company, interactive activities, assessments and a package ready for your LMS. These are the most requested topics:

  • OHS induction: safety policy, internal regulations, rights and obligations, and how to report incidents.
  • IPERC (hazard identification, risk assessment and controls): identifying hazards, assessing risks and defining control measures, with exercises based on your own areas.
  • PPE use: selecting, putting on, inspecting, caring for and replacing personal protective equipment.
  • First aid: initial response to wounds, burns and fainting, and how to call for help.
  • Ergonomics: posture, active breaks and manual handling of loads for offices, plants or warehouses.
  • High-risk work: working at heights, confined spaces, hot work and lockout/tagout, as theoretical training prior to hands-on practice.
  • Emergencies: response plan, evacuation, fire extinguisher use and drills explained step by step.

Formats and deliverables

  • SCORM 1.2 or 2004, or xAPI package, compatible with Moodle and other LMSs.
  • Explainer videos, infographics and decision-based scenarios.
  • Question bank and final assessment with a configurable passing score.
  • Certificate of completion issued from the LMS.
  • Editable files and the approved instructional script.

How we build your OHS course

We work in six steps and validate each one with your OHS lead before moving on. Total timing depends on the number of topics and how quickly reviews are completed.

  1. Analysis and objectives: we review your IPERC matrix, procedures, training matrix and job profiles.
  2. Learning material development: we write the instructional script with cases from your operations.
  3. Review and pedagogical adaptation: your technical team validates that the content is correct.
  4. Design and audiovisual production: we create screens, animations, videos and scenarios.
  5. Final content digitization: we package the course and test it on your LMS.
  6. Implementation and measurement: we set up progress, score and certificate reports.

A short single-topic course moves faster than a full annual program. That is why we propose module-by-module deliveries, so you can launch priority topics first.

How participation is recorded in the LMS

The participation record is the information the platform stores each time a worker studies. We configure the course to report start, progress, time, attempts and final score. With that data your team can filter by site, department or date and export lists for internal audits, inspections or OHS committee meetings.

We can also add a read-and-understood statement at the end of each module and a downloadable certificate with name, course and completion date.

Examples of use in companies

Online OHS courses adapt to any industry with staff exposed to risks, from offices to industrial operations. Some generic examples:

  • A 30-minute OHS induction that every new worker completes before their first day at the plant.
  • An IPERC course for supervisors with exercises where they identify hazards in photos of their area.
  • A PPE module with scenarios: the worker chooses the right equipment for each task.
  • An ergonomics program for administrative and remote staff.
  • An emergency course that prepares staff before each drill.

Online courses can also be combined with in-person practice. For example, the theory of working at heights is studied online and harness practice is carried out in the field with an instructor.

This blended model reduces classroom time, because workers arrive at the practical session with the concepts already learned and assessed. The instructor can focus on correcting technique and answering each group's specific questions.

What determines the price of an online OHS course?

The price of an online OHS course depends on the scope, the level of interactivity and the audiovisual production you need. These are the main factors:

  • Course length and number of modules or topics.
  • Level of interactivity: guided reading, activities, decision-based scenarios or simulations.
  • Amount of video, animation or filming at your facilities.
  • Whether you already have base content or it must be developed from scratch.
  • Number of assessments and size of the question bank.
  • Additional versions, for example for contractors or for different jobs.
  • LMS implementation, hosting or support services.

Frequently asked questions

Your questions about Occupational health and safety, answered

Do online OHS courses replace in-person training?

They replace most of the theoretical training, but not all hands-on practice. Topics such as fire extinguisher use, working at heights or first aid require in-person practice. We recommend combining both formats according to your annual program.

Does the course comply with Law 29783?

The regulations require employers to train workers periodically, and an online course with records helps provide evidence of that. However, compliance depends on your program, frequency and content. Review the current regulations and validate the course with your OHS lead.

What training evidence is recorded?

The LMS records each participant's access date, progress, time spent, assessment score and pass status. From there you can export reports and issue certificates.

Can you use photos and videos of our facilities?

Yes, and we recommend it. You can send us your own material or schedule a filming session. Seeing the real environment helps workers recognize the hazards of their job.

Does it work on our Moodle platform or another LMS?

Yes. We deliver courses in SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004 or xAPI, standards compatible with Moodle and most platforms. Before final delivery we test the package on your LMS.

What if we don't have an LMS?

We can help you implement an LMS platform with users, reports and certificates. We can also advise you on choosing the option that best fits your company.

Can workers take the course on their phones?

Yes. We design courses with a responsive format for computers, tablets and phones. This makes it easier to train field staff or staff on rotating shifts.

How long is an online OHS course?

It depends on the topic and the audience. An induction can last 20 to 40 minutes, while an IPERC course is usually split into several modules. We recommend short modules to keep learners engaged.

Who validates the technical content?

Your OHS team validates the technical content during the review stage. We handle instructional design, educational writing and production, always based on your procedures.

Can we update the course when a procedure changes?

Yes. We deliver the source files and design in modules so changes can be targeted. You can also hire us for the update service.

Can you create versions for contractors?

Yes. We can adapt the course for contractors or visitors with a shorter version focused on the basic rules of your facilities.

How do I request a quote?
